About

M.E.E. and More is currently running and being warmly received, by educators and students of the Surrey School Board. Students report feeling more confident, connected, and empowered after participating. Educators are saying that M.E.E. and More is unique, fun and an impactful program that addresses a growing need in today’s educational environment.

The children are engaged, and participate in thoughtful dialogue. They show growth in self-awareness, and are developing and building on their sense of self-love. It’s more than a program—it’s a movement toward emotional wellness and self-confidence, that will accompany them through every journey that life takes them on.

Sancheska Stranack – Founder and Creator of M.E.E. and More.

With post-secondary studies in Psychology and Sociology and a Diploma in Child and Youth Care Counselling, she set out to gain meaningful, hands-on experience supporting vulnerable children and youth.

For over a decade, Sancheska worked in Group Homes for Youth in Care and spent eight years with the Surrey School Board as a Child Care Worker. During this time, she received training in Trauma-Informed Practice and Non-Violent Crisis Intervention, shaping her approach to compassionate, effective support.

Her work as an advocate and mentor helped her discover her true passion: building positive connections and guiding young people through life’s challenges while loving who they are with every shift, growth and change that they go through. M.E.E. and More grew from that passion—rooted in the belief that fostering self-love and confidence can empower children and youth to thrive.

Avneet Dhaliwal – Student Volunteer

Avneet first connected with Sancheska’s self-love activities and projects as a grade school participant. After graduating high school in June 2024, she expressed a strong interest in learning and working with children and youth, and experiencing the guiding and teaching side of programming. Avneet is currently attending Simon Fraser University full time, where she is studying criminology. Her journey from participant to volunteer reflects her passion for mentorship, learning, and supporting young people in meaningful ways.
